This 5-day Namibia guided safari is perfect for travelers who want to see Namibia’s wildlife and experience the Atlantic coast in a short time. Although the distances between destinations are long, the adventure is worth it. The tour is available for solo travelers, small groups, or larger groups.
Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Your guide will meet you at your accommodation at 9:30 a.m. to brief you about your safari. You will depart Windhoek at 10:00 a.m. and travel north toward Etosha National Park. Lunch will be served en route.
You will arrive in the late afternoon, and as you enter the park, you may start spotting wildlife along the way. After checking in, meet your guide for your first game drive to nearby waterholes. If you are lucky, you might see predators, but you are sure to encounter zebras, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and many species of antelope.
In the evening, freshen up and enjoy dinner. You can then relax at the main area and watch animals visiting the waterhole before resting for the night.
Day 2: Etosha National Park
Today is dedicated to a full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park. The park gates open at sunrise, so after an early breakfast, you will set out to explore the central section with your private guide.
Morning hours are the best for spotting predators as they are most active during this time. If you are lucky, you may witness them hunting or feeding. You will have lunch en route and continue your game drive, visiting several waterholes while keeping an eye out for wildlife.
You will return to Okaukuejo Resort before sunset, just in time to enjoy the famous floodlit waterhole where animals gather to drink. After dinner, you can spend more time watching wildlife before heading to bed.
Day 3: Etosha National Park to Swakopmund
After breakfast, depart with your guide by 7:30 a.m. for a scenic drive toward the Skeleton Coast. You will travel south through Outjo and Damaraland, an area known for its wide landscapes and rocky terrain, before reaching the coastline.
The Skeleton Coast is famous for its rough beauty, shipwrecks, and isolated beaches. You will stop at one of the shipwreck sites for photographs and have lunch en route.
Arrive in Swakopmund in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day exploring the town on foot and enjoy the cool sea breeze. Freshen up before dinner at one of Swakopmund’s popular restaurants.
Day 4: Swakopmund and Walvis Bay
After breakfast, drive to Walvis Bay for a half-day Sandwich Harbour Tour. You will meet your local guide at the waterfront and enjoy the scenic 4×4 drive through the dunes where the desert meets the ocean. Lunch will be served en route.
Return to Swakopmund in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can choose optional activities such as quad biking, sandboarding, or scenic flights at your own cost. Dinner will be at a local restaurant before resting for the night.
Day 5: Swakopmund to Windhoek
After breakfast, start your journey back to Windhoek. On the way, stop at the Okahandja Craft Market for your last shopping and souvenirs.
You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Windhoek, where you will say your final goodbyes to your guide, marking the end of your Namibia guided safari.
