The Spitzkoppe tour continues into the wide Namib Desert towards Spitzkoppe. In the middle of the desert, a freshly prepared lunch with local drinks is served in a quiet and beautiful setting.

After lunch, we drive closer to Spitzkoppe, passing locals selling stones such as tourmaline, garnet, and aquamarine. These colorful semi-precious stones make lovely souvenirs. Soon, you will spot the famous Spitzkoppe mountain, often called the “Matterhorn of Namibia,” standing tall in the distance.

Spitzkoppe is a giant granite rock formation known for its 2,000-year-old Bushman paintings. You can enjoy easy walks over ancient rocks, explore natural formations, and take in the peaceful views. A highlight of the tour is climbing up to the Rock Arch to enjoy its beauty and unique shape.

After exploring Spitzkoppe, we visit the Moon Landscape on our return route. This area has an unusual ecosystem of gravel plains and deep valleys shaped by wind and time. The 500-million-year-old landscape feels like another planet. Here, silence and open space create an unforgettable experience.

The Moon Landscape is made up of fascinating rock formations of dolerite, granite, and lava dykes. Dry riverbeds and windswept plains add to its strange, natural charm.

After a full day of exploring, walking, and learning, we drive back to Swakopmund, arriving at sunset. This full-day tour offers a complete adventure from the ocean to the desert, making it one of the most special experiences in Namibia.
