This 4-day Namibia guided safari combines the mountain ranges of Naukluft, the red dunes of the Namib Desert, the coastal charm of Swakopmund, and the famous Sandwich Harbour Tour, where the sea meets the desert. On the final day, you will enjoy an exciting paragliding experience along the coast before returning to Windhoek.
Day 1: Windhoek – Sesriem – Sossusvlei (Namib Desert)
You will be met by our representative or tour guide upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the Naukluft Mountain Range, known for its beautiful landscapes and desert views, until you reach the Sesriem area, where you will stay for the night.
The rest of the afternoon is free for relaxation. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Namib Desert Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Day 2: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund
Wake up early this morning for a visit to Sossusvlei, home to some of the tallest sand dunes in the world. You may climb one of the dunes for panoramic views and take photos of the desert as the sun rises. Afterward, return to your lodge for breakfast and some rest before heading north toward the coast.
You will drive past the Tropic of Capricorn, where you can stop for photos, and continue through the wide Namib gravel plains to the port town of Walvis Bay. Here, you will have the chance to see flamingos and other birdlife around the lagoon. Continue to Swakopmund, a charming coastal town where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Swakopmund (Day of Activities)
After an early breakfast, your guide will drive you to Walvis Bay for a half-day Sandwich Harbour Tour. Meet your local guide at the waterfront at 7:30 a.m. for a scenic 4×4 drive along the Walvis Bay Lagoon and salt mines, then continue into the dunes of the Sandwich Harbour area in Namib-Naukluft Park.
After the tour, return to Swakopmund for lunch (either in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund). Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore Swakopmund on foot. In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of the town’s well-known restaurants before relaxing for the night.
Day 4: Swakopmund to Windhoek (Departure)
This morning, experience an unforgettable paragliding adventure offered between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Your guide will brief you before the activity begins. After the experience, return to Swakopmund to freshen up and begin your drive back to Windhoek.
Lunch will be served en route. On the way, stop at the Okahandja Craft Market for last-minute shopping. If time allows, you can make additional stops for souvenirs before continuing to Windhoek.
You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport. This marks the end of your safari, where you will say your final goodbyes to your guide.
